The Friends of Island Beach State Park are proud to present the first annual Barrier Island Classic surf contest. The contest, created to help raise money for Island Beach State Park, will be held in Island Beach State Park on Thursday, July 28 and Friday, September 16. This is the first contest of its kind on the pristine beaches of Island Beach State Park.
The contest is open to both adult and youth competitors. Registration is now open for both events!
In the case that the waves are not sufficient enough to hold a contest, alternate dates have been set for July 29 and September 17 respectively. The contest will start promptly at 7:30 AM.
